‘Le petit tournesol’
Le petit tournesol is our self-contained gite, which was converted from an old stable just a few years ago. Completely separate from the main house, the comfortable accommodation comprises an open-plan living and dining area, a fully fitted kitchen, as well as a generous bathroom with a ‘rainfall’ shower and bath on the ground floor.
On the first floor, accessed via a small spiral staircase, you’ll find the master bedroom with its double bed, wardrobe, and seating area. You’ll need to mind your head, there’s a large beam running across the bedroom.

‘Suite 16’
A self-contained, private master suite with its own entrance, Suite 16’ has breathtaking double-aspect views of the gardens and adjacent countryside.
The large master bedroom has a double bed, a sitting area, tea and coffee making facilities, a small refrigerator as well as a large TV. Down a small corridor, you’ll find a well-appointed bathroom with a rainfall shower and a separate WC.
Open the French doors to the patio – the perfect spot for a leisurely breakfast or evening drink.
Please note – ‘Suite 16’ is accommodation only – there is no private kitchen or food preparation area.

About us……
After years of dreaming about it, we decided to take the plunge and move to France in September 2020. David lives here permanently and looks after our accommodation, whilst James continues to work in the UK so splits his time between the Charente and London.
David
Having worked in the airline industry for over 20 years, David is no stranger to offering fantastic customer service. A fan of red wine, you’ll often find him enjoying a glass or two of an amazing Saint Emilion. David says ‘the feedback from our first 6 sets of guests has been incredible. I love the fact that they’ve enjoyed what we’ve worked so hard to provide’.
Foggy the cat
Foggy is enjoying life chasing the birds and other local wildlife, as well as discovering the different parts of the garden. He loves nothing better than lazing in the warm sunshine and taking a well-deserved nap after breakfast, lunch and dinner. Foggy says ‘I’m pretty shy but I’ll do anything for some tuna fish, some cat biscuits or a nice tummy tickle’.
James
James works for a large corporate organisation in London so shares his time between the UK and France. When not working, he loves nothing more than pottering around the garden, taking a swim, or enjoying the local restaurants. James says ‘I really want the guest experience to be the best it can be. We work hard to ensure everyone has an amazing stay’.
